How to Crochet the Rose Bouquet Blanket | Any Size! | Mother's Day Flowers Pattern + Tutorial
Hello!
A delicate floral design that’s as functional as it is beautiful. This pattern begins as a coaster, if made bigger then it’s a blanket and it beautifully transforms into a charming bouquet when gathered together! Perfect as table décor, a cozy throw, or a heartfelt handmade gift.
With Mother's Day around the corner this is the perfect handmade gift for her, especially if your mom loves flowers, home décor, or anything made with love. These roses will never wilt — and the time you spend making it will speak louder than any store-bought gift.
There is a detailed tutorial for the same on my YouTube Channel which you can check out in the link given below.
Let's get started!

Pattern
The Base Circle:
In White:
Ch1 in the beginning of every round and it doesn't count as a stitch.
Don’t work into the ch1 spaces while making the base.
Magic Ring and Ch1
Round 1:
- Start with a magic ring
- Ch1 (does not count as a stitch)
- Make 12 dc into the ring
- Sl st to first dc to join - (12 dc total)
Round 2:
- Work *[dc inc or 2 dc in same st, ch 1]
- Repeat from * into every st
- Sl st to the first dc - (24 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
Round 3:
- Work * [1 dc, dc inc in next st, ch 1].
- Repeat from * around
- Sl st to first dc - (36 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
Round 4:
- Work * [1 dc in next 2 sts, dc inc in next st, ch 1].
- Repeat from * around
- Sl st to first dc - (48 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
Round 5:
- Work * [1 dc in next 3 sts, dc inc in next st, ch 1].
- Repeat from * around
- Sl st to first dc - (60 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
Continue following the same increase pattern.
General Rule for DC Circles:
- Each new round increases the number of dc stitches by making an increase before every ch1. So the stitch before the ch1 will always have a dc inc
For example:
- Round 6: (1 dc in next 4 sts, dc inc in next st, ch1) → 72 dc
- Round 7: (1 dc in next 5 sts, dc inc in next st, ch1) → 84 dc
- ...and so on.
Each round adds 12 stitches, keeping the circle flat and even.
Make as many rounds as you want for your circle. I had made 13
You should have (Round Number x 12) stitches in the end.
So I had 156 (which is 13x12) dc stitch.
The Leaves:
In Green:
Ch1 in the beginning of every round and it doesn't count as a stitch.
Round 1:
- Work *[sc, ch 3, sk 2]
- Repeat from * around the circle.
- End with ch 3 and sl st to first sc to join.
Round 1:
- In each ch-3 sp, work:
*[sc, hdc, ch 3, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, hdc into the ch-3 sp, sc]
- This forms a textured leaf.
- Repeat from * into every ch-3 sp.
The Flowers:
In Pink:
- Join yarn between two leaves (in the space between two sc from the ending of one leaf and beginning of another leaf clusters).
- ch 15
- Work 3 dc in 4th chain from hook and in each remaining chain.
- You’ll have a ruffled strip
- Roll this strip into a rose shape and sew or sl st the base to secure it in place.
- Skip the next space, and make the next flower between the following pair of leaves.
- Repeat until you've filled all alternate gaps between the leaves with flowers.
You can make a chain more or less than 15 for a smaller or bigger flower.
And once you’re done making all the flowers, weave in the ends and you’re good to go!
I'd love to see if you make your own Rose Bouquet Blanket!
