The Elenza Bag - Fall Crochet Bag Crochet Tutorial + Pattern
Hey! Here's a beautiful bag made out of three tulip granny squares!
Materials:
Yarn – DK weight (150 gms)
Hook – 4mm
Tapestry needle
Measuring tape (optional)
Scissors
Abbreviations:
mr – magic ring
st/sts – stitch/stitches
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
v-st - v stitch (dc, ch 1, dc)
puff - yarn over, pull up a loop (3 loops), yarn over, pull up a loop in same st (5 loops), yarn over, pull up a loop in same st (7 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through all 7 loops, chain 1
Tulip Granny Square:
Magic ring
Round 1: Ch 5, [1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 2] x 3, 1 dc, ch 1, sl st in 3rd ch, sl st into corner - (4 v-sts)
Round 2: *[1 puff, ch 2, 1 puff] into corner, ch 1, [1 puff in next space, ch 1] repeat across,
repeat from * 3 times more, sl st in 1st puff st, sl st into corner - (12 puffs)
*[(1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in next st, skip next 2 st] repeat across, (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) into corner, repeat from * 3 more times, (1 dc, ch 1) into corner, sl st in 3rd ch, sl st into corner - (20 v-sts)
Round 5: Repeat round 2 - (28 puffs)
Round 6: Repeat round 3 - (92 dc)
Round 7: Repeat round 4 - (36 v-sts)
Round 8: Repeat round 2 - (44 puffs)
Round 9: Repeat round 3 - (140 dc)
Strap:
Join yarn on one of the sides.
Ch1 after each row.
R1 - Ch1, 4hdc
R2 - Rn - Ch1, 4 hdc
Make as many rows as you want for your strap to be of your desired length.
Fasten off
