Frog Tissue Pouch - Beginner Friendly Crochet Pattern

Hey! Here's a cute little tissue pouch for you to make! It is a simple crochet project which is made from a basic crochet square, it is a great project especially if you are a beginner and want a cute & easy project!

Materials:

Yarn – Any, I used weight 3

Hook – Any, one recommended on the yarn, or size down by one or half a mm, I used 4mm

Tapestry needle

Measuring tape (optional)

Scissors


Abbreviations:

mr – magic ring

st – stitch

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

hdc – half double crochet

sl st – slip stitch


Pattern:

The Pouch:

Ch22 (or however till it is slightly longer than the length of a folded tissue)

Row 1:  sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and all along - (21 sc)

Row 2 - Row 35: sc x 21 - (21 sc)

Or continue repeating till your work is approx. 7 inches long.

Make a row of sc around all the four sides of you piece with two sc in the corners. This will add a better finish.

The Eyes x 2:

Ch1 and turn after each row to make a semi-circle, ch1 doesn't count as a stitch.

Magic Ring and Ch1 

Round 1: 5 hdc

Round 2: inc x 5 – (10 hdc)

Round 3: (hdc, inc) x 5 – (15 hdc)

Fasten off

The Pupils x 2:

Magic Ring and Ch1 

Round 1: 5 hdc

Fasten off

Join the pupils on the eyes. Turn the rectangle three ways and join it with a yarn needle. Do the same on the other side till you have an opening like in the image. Attach the eyes. Watch the video tutorial to see how to do it exactly.

And you're done!
