Luna Love Top - Beginners Crochet Crop Top Pattern + Tutorial
Hey!
Luna Love Top is an easy and pretty crochet top design! I just love how it is super easy to make and the little heart in the center just adds to the whole thing. It is made to measure so you can make it in any size.

Materials:
Yarn – Weight-2 acrylic yarn
- Main Color - Approx. 150gms for a size small.
- Color for the Heart
Hook – 3.5mm and 4.5mm
Scissors
Yarn needle
Measuring tape (optional)
You can use this pattern with any type of yarn with the recommended hook size.
Abbreviations:
mr – magic ring
st – stitch
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
trc - treble crochet
dc - double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
Pattern:
The Top:
In Main Color
Ch41 (or however long you want the top to be)
Row 1: hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook and all along - (40 sc)
Row 2 - Row 82: ch1, hdc x 40 - (40 hdc)
Or continue repeating row2 till your panel is long enough to wrap around your body.
Join the starting part with the ending with sl sts or with a yarn needle.
The Straps:
In Main Color
Ch170
R1: [trc into 5th ch from the hook, trc in the same st], 3trc in each ch - (498 trc)
Try the top on and mark the place where you want the strap in the front and the back.
Lay down the top and pin the strap onto the top as shown in the picture leaving space for arms. Join it on with a tapestry needle.
The Heart:
In Red
Magic Ring and Ch2
Round 1: Into the magic ring; 4 trc, 4dc, trc, 4dc, 4trc, ch2, sl st into magic ring, fasten off.
You'll have 17 stitches with two ch2 at the beginning and the end.
Fasten off with a long tail.
Join the heart onto the top.
And you’re done!
