How to Crochet a Tulip Coaster | Pattern + Tutorial
Hello!
Bring the charm of a blooming garden to your table with this sweet little tulip coaster. Designed to be easy, quick, and joyful to make, this pattern is perfect for beginners and seasoned crocheters alike πΌπ

Let's get started!
Materials:
- Yarn – Weight-3 acrylic yarn in three colors
- Hook – 3.5 mm hook
- Scissors
- Stitch Marker or yarn of contrasting color
You can use this pattern with any type of yarn with the recommended hook size
Abbreviations:
mr – magic ring
st – stitch
ch – chain
sc - single crochet
inc – increase (2 stitches into the same space)
dc – double crochet
hdc - half double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
ch-1/ch-2 sp - chain 1 space
Special Stitches:
v-st - V stitch - Work 1 dc st, ch2, and 1 more dc st in the same chain or space.
pc - popcorn stitch - Work 6 dc, drop loop from hook, insert hook from front to back through top of first st made, place dropped loop on hook and pull through st.
Pattern
The Base:
Ch 1 before every round and it doesn’t count as a stitch.
In Creme:
Magic Ring and Ch1
Round 1: 10 hdc into the magic ring, sl st - (10 hdc)
Round 2: inc x 10, sl st - (20 hdc)
Round 3: [hdc, inc] x 10, sl st- (30 hdc)
Round 4: [hdc 2, inc] x 10, sl st - (40 hdc)
Round 5: [hdc 3, inc] x 10, sl st - (50 hdc)
Round 6: [hdc 4, inc] x 10, sl st - (60 hdc)
The Stem:
In Green:
Round 7: ch1, [v-st, sk 2] x 20, sl st - (20 v-sts)
Refer ‘Special Stitches’ section for “v-st”.
The Tulips:
In Pink:
Round 8: ch1, [pc into every ch-3 sp, ch3] x 20, sl st - (20 pc)
Refer ‘Special Stitches’ section for “pc”.
If the coaster curls up, make more than 3 chains between each tulip.
Fasten off and weave in all loose ends using a yarn needle.
And you're done!
