Hello!
This beginner-friendly pattern guides you through each step to create bows. These are super simple and can be used by themselves or as an addition to a number of different projects. ✨π
There is a detailed tutorial for the same on my YouTube Channel which you can check out with this link.
Let's get started!
Materials:

You can use this pattern with any type of yarn and the recommended hook size
Abbreviations:

ch – chain

sc - single crochet
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
inc – increase
hdc - half double crochet

Pattern
Part 1:
- Ch 23
- sk 1st ch, in 2nd ch: sc
- Work across:
- hdc, hdc, dc, dc, tr, dc, dc, hdc, sc
- sl st, sl st, sc, hdc, dc, dc, tr, dc, dc, hdc, hdc
- In last ch: 3 sc in same st
- Continue along the other side of the chain:
- hdc in next st (i.e., 2nd from the 3sc), hdc, dc, dc, tr, 2 dc, hdc, sc
- sl st, sl st, sc, hdc, 2 dc, tr, 2 dc, 2 hdc
- 2 sc in the last st
- sl st to the first sc. Ch 1, leave a long tail and fasten off.
Part 2:
- Ch 16
- Sk 1st ch, then work:
- sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc, sl st
- sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc
- Join with sl st, ch1. Fasten off. Don’t leave a long tail.
Assembly:
- Using the long tail from Part 1, find the center of the bow and pull the yarn from back to front through the middle.
- Place the smaller piece (Part 2) behind the Part 1 in the center.
- Using the long yarn tail left from Part 1, wrap it tightly around the center where both pieces overlap. This creates the classic “bow” look and secures both parts together.
- After wrapping the bow, bring the yarn tail behind the bow and secure it and weave it in.
I'd love to see if you make one of your own.
