How to Crochet the Lily Bouquet Blanket | Free Pattern + Tutorial
Hello!
The Lily of the Valley Bouquet Blanket was designed to feel soft and pretty, like fresh spring flowers gathered into a handmade bouquet.
This blanket features delicate, 3D floral motifs that are worked directly into the base, so the flowers feel like they’re blooming right out of the fabric.
There is a detailed tutorial for the same on my YouTube Channel which you can check out in the link given below.
You can check out my tutorial for the Rose Bouquet Blanket below:

Pattern
The Base Circle:
In White:
Ch1 in the beginning of every round and it doesn't count as a stitch.
Don’t work into the ch1 spaces while making the base.
Magic Ring and Ch1
Round 1:
- Start with a magic ring
- Ch1 (does not count as a stitch)
- Make 12 dc into the ring
- Sl st to first dc to join - (12 dc total)
Round 2:
- Work *[dc inc or 2 dc in same st, ch 1]
- Repeat from * into every st
- Sl st to the first dc - (24 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
Round 3:
- Work * [1 dc, dc inc in next st, ch 1].
- Repeat from * around
- Sl st to first dc - (36 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
Round 4:
- Work * [1 dc in next 2 sts, dc inc in next st, ch 1].
- Repeat from * around
- Sl st to first dc - (48 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
Round 5:
- Work * [1 dc in next 3 sts, dc inc in next st, ch 1].
- Repeat from * around
- Sl st to first dc - (60 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces)
Continue following the same increase pattern.
General Rule for DC Circles:
- Each new round increases the number of dc stitches by making an increase before every ch1. So the stitch before the ch1 will always have a dc inc
For example:
- Round 6: (1 dc in next 4 sts, dc inc in next st, ch1) → 72 dc
- Round 7: (1 dc in next 5 sts, dc inc in next st, ch1) → 84 dc
- ...and so on.
Each round adds 12 stitches, keeping the circle flat and even.
Make as many rounds as you want for your circle. I had made 13
You should have (Round Number x 12) stitches in the end.
So I had 156 (which is 13x12) dc stitch.
The Leaves:
In Green:
Ch1 in the beginning of every round and it doesn't count as a stitch.
Round 1:
- Work *[sc, ch 5, sk 2]
- Repeat from * around the circle.
- End with ch 5 and sl st to first sc to join.
Round 2:
- Ch1, in the ch-5 sp, alternate the following:
- Group 1 (Sepal): [sc, ch3, (dc, ch1)x3, dc, ch3, sc into ch5-sp]
- Group 2 (Leaf): [sc, ch7, sl st in 4th ch, ch3, sc into ch5-sp]
- Alternate Group 1 and Group 2 till you reach the end.
The Flowers:
In Pink:
The flowers are made only in the sepal parts which are the Group 1 part. Join yarn in the first ch3 of the Group 1 or sepal.
Flower R1:
- Ch3 and make a popcorn st
- Make one popcorn st in every space - (5 popcorn sts)
- The piece will naturally begin to curl.
- Gently curve the work inward.
- Slip stitch into the top of the first popcorn stitch.
- Tighten to form a cup shape.
Check “Special Stitches” for Popcorn Stitch
Chain 2 to begin Round 2.
Flower R2:
- Into each space work:
- 1 dc, ch3, 1 picot, 1 dc (in same space), ch3, 1 picot
- Repeat in every sp between the popcorn stitches
- You’ll have : 10 dc, 10 picot
Check “Special Stitches” for Picot
Make one flower into every Group 1 part. You can use same colors or alternate between colors.
- Into each space work:
And once you’re done making all the flowers, weave in the ends you’re done!
