How to Crochet Ombre Roses ✨ | Beginner-Friendly Crochet Gradient Rose Tutorial + Free Pattern

Hello!

There is something so special about a flower that never wilts. I designed this rose to capture that classic, romantic garden look while keeping the construction straightforward and fun to stitch. This project is perfect for creating a handmade bouquet, a Mother’s Day gift, or a "forever" flower for your home decor.

There is a detailed tutorial for the same on my YouTube Channel which you can check out here.

You can also make sets of 2–3 leaves on one wire stem.

Assembly:

  • Use a flower stick or cut up a 27 cm length of floral wire.
  • Starting at one end, apply some hot glue and roll the rose strip to form the rose shape.
  • Adjust the outer petals to bloom slightly outward for a natural look.
  • Bring the free yarn and pass it through the center of the sepal and tie with the yarn present on sepal.
  • Pass the floral wire through the center of the sepal. Stick the sepal to the base of the flower with hot glue, including corners.
  • Wrap tightly with green yarn starting from the base of the rose down to the bottom of the wire.
  • Add leaves while wrapping the stem.

Make 3–5 roses for a full bouquet. Arrange and wrap with ribbon or lace.

And with that, your ombre rose bouquet is complete! 💕
