Flora Headband - Free Crochet Pattern

Hello!

So here is a simple and fun pattern for the 'Flora Headband' the tutorial for which is already posted on my YouTube channel. Find the detailed tutorial here.

It is a perfect flower headband for the spring and looks super cute.

Let's get started!

Materials:

Hook – 4 mm and 5mm

Yarn – Medium weight yarn in two colors

Yarn needle

Scissors

Abbreviations:

mr – magic ring

st – stitch

ch – chain

inc – increase (2 stitches into the same space)

dc – double crochet

sl st – slip stitch

Pattern

The Flower:

In Crème:

Magic Ring and Ch1

Round 1: 12 sc into the magic ring, sl st

Fasten off

Join the pink yarn

In Pink

Petal 1: ch3, *(yarn over, insert in same st, pull up a loop till the height of ch3, pull through 2 loops) x 3 times in the same stitch

Repeat from * into the next stitch

With 7 loops on the hook, pull through all, ch 3, sl st into same st

Ch3 and repeat from * to make the 6 petals

Fasten off

You'll have 6 petals in total.

Make 2 more flowers

The Band:

You can use the same yarn that you used for the center of the flower or use a thicker yarn for the band.

Use three strands of the crème yarn and crochet a foundation chain with a 5 mm hook.  The length of the chain should be enough to wrap around your head.

Now place the flowers a little off center and stitch them or glue them on onto the band.

Weave in the ends.

And you're done!

I'd love to see if you make one of your own.
